How I hide blemishes/acne scars
18:02:00How I hide blemishes/acne scars
Most young women suffer from acne which can affect their self-confidence. I too suffer from spots and whatever I try, they don't seem to vanish completely. However in the meantime of me trying different things to help my acne, I am going to share how I hide my spots with makeup and the steps I use in order to achieve a flawless finish.
Step 1:
Moisturise. This is a very obvious step which everybody knows about but it is vital therefore I am mentioning it. Moisturising the skin prepares it for makeup.
Step 2:
I don't always use primers therefore I jump right into the colour correcting. There are many colour correcting palettes out there but at the moment, I am loving using my coral/orange lipstick from Avon's 'Colourtrend' range. This lipstick is sheer and it doesn't look great on my lips but it is the perfect shade for colour correcting.
A lot of people would recommend using a green colour corrector to cancel out the redness of the spots but I use only an orange lipstick as it works better with my skintone.
I apply the lipstick onto my spots which are mainly on my cheeks. I then blend this orange out using my beauty blender or any other sponge.
Step 3:
Apply the foundation. I then grab my foundation, I am trying out the Lancome Teint Miracle foundation right now and so far so good! This foundation provides good medium coverage. I use a flat foundation brush to apply this and I then buff it into my skin using my beauty blender.
Step 4:
Concealer. To finish off, I apply my Avon Clear Skin spot concealer on top to finish it off and this gives me the coverage that I need.
*Not everybody will like the idea of layering quite a few products on as everyone has different preferences. But this is what I do and it works for me.
