Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review
13:36:00I had been going mad looking for a good foundation which will cover up my spots and I finally found one.
This foundation is obviously on the more pricey side since it is a highend foundation but every pound is worth it.
The foundation bottle is quite small which at first made me think that there is too less product in there and it's costing me £30. But when I tried the samples to find my shade, I realised that a little goes a long way. I only need the size of a pea to cover both my cheeks. And then another pea for the rest of my face, maybe even half a pea!
Formula; By looking at it, the formula of this foundation is thick, but when applying it, it feels and looks so light; therefore saving your face from looking cakey. This is good for people with dry skin like me. The foundations smells good which is a bonus as I hate chemical-like scents.
Application; I like to apply this foundation with a flat foundation brush and then I like to blend out the brush strokes with my beauty blender. I don't go in with a sponge straight away just because I feel like it absorbs quite a bit of the foundation.
Finish; This foundation looks very lightweight on my face, thats why I love it! It covers up my spots so well, it cancels out the redness without me having to use a colour corrector. This foundation also lasts all day and to be quite honest, I don't even set it with powder and it still lasts! This is definately my favourite foundation.
Here is a before and after shot of with and without the foundation. As you can tell, you can still see the shape of my spots but no redness. But when zoomed out, you can't even see the shape of my spots, you can only see them in this picture because of the focus and zoom. It also looks slightly ashy but thats purely because I have little hairs on my cheeks.
