These concealers have been all over Instagram lately and many Youtubers have also been using them for highlighting and contouring. Since these were getting so popular, I decided to get my hands on some and test them out. I must say, my first impressions of the concealer was not good at all. I felt like they were too drying and therefore difficult to blend.
However, after a few uses, I love these concealers! I had understood that the concealer drying fast on my skin is probably due to my dry skin. But the way I do it, is that I draw my contour line on my cheek then I blend it out, I then do the same on my other cheek and blend. I also draw a triangle underneath my eye and then blend out as I apply the product so that it doesn't dry out. By using this technique, I can now say that the concealer has very good coverage. The dark concealer for contouring works so well so I would highly recommend this to people who are into cream contouring. The dark shades of this concealer look very natural, it doesn't look too 'over the top' and I love how long lasting it is, I don't even have to set it with a powder contour.
The dark shade I use is called 'toast' and the lighter shade I use is 'natural'. I feel like I need one shade darker for contouring as I do have brown skin and it would be better if my contour was darker as I prefer the look of having a visible, sharp contour rather than a very natural looking finish.
